Transfers and Miracles. #85
Hey family!!!
Love you all so much! I'd love to hear from everyone again and catch up. Hope yall are living the good life to the fullest!!
Elder Peterson and I got transfer news and will be spending a 5th transfer together! We moved to the american denj ward and are looking forward to helping receive our new mission president in 11 days!!
My last 2 days in Enkhtaivan were insane and full of miracles!!! Here is a little recap... on the second to last night we got to say bye to Ganchimeg and her family! Then we made a surprise visit to Amarhuu's house, where they fed us a feast. Both meetings were full of laughter and the spirit... a sense of heavenly joy. The next day was even crazier. In the morning we moved all our luggage across the city and left straight from there for an hour of service at the catholic shelter. By the grace of God, our investigator family lived right next door to the shelter and had already been preparing food to feed unbeknownst to us. We talked about tennis (Sinner vs. Alcaraz haha), and then taught them the Gospel of Jesus Christ and baptism! Then from there we went to eat out with Munkhdemberel. He's been my best friend for the past 7 months, from his first lesson to baptism to teaching lessons with us everyday. After our last meeting with Munkdemberel we went to Otgonbayar's home and taught a lesson to his 3 kids. After which we did our last meeting at Nergui's house with his recently baptized children. His children feel the joy of gospel as the heart of their father has been turned to them, and theirs to their father. Then we booked it home for an online english class with our friend Uuganbayar.
For me the last 2 days in Enkhtaivan was a culmination of the service and love we had the opportunity to pour out the last 7 months. Each meeting was indescribably joyful... an exchange of gratitude, devotion, and love. The Spirit of the Lord was palpably present as it filled each meeting with pure bliss.
I know that we could not have done that on our own... but by the grace of God and the power of His holy spirit all things are possible!!!
Spiritual Thought
Over the past 7 months I've learned more about the love of Christ from Munkhdemberel than anyone else. Although burdened with severe cerebral palsy which strains his ability to speak and move... he fights daily to serve others, be kind, and glorify God. I believe that what Jesus said about the blind man applies to him... "Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him".
Munkhdemebrel showed me that with faith in God, all things are possible. His devotion to God despite a harmperd body, showed me "if ye have desires to serve God ye are called to the work". He showed me that to be great we need not skill or talent, but one simple thing... love.
"Everybody can be great...because anybody can serve... You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love." MLK Jr.
God is so good.
Love yall, Elder Bateman
