Exchanges, President Kunz's first Zone Conference #88

Hey Family, Love yall so so much! Hope everything is well at home. If you have new life news or just want to send a little update please do! It's been another great week on the mission. Some notable things: Batbold was baptized on saturday and received the gift of the holy spirit at sacrament meeting! We did 2 exchanges, one was with Elder Tumuulun and the other one was with Elder Abbott. They each taught me a great deal about the savior and missionary work. Lastly, President Kunz had his first zone conference today in Darkhan! Zone conference was a special experience. President Kunz emphasized growing our personal relationship with our Savior Jesus Christ by thoughtful study of his life. His training was a discussion format where we went through and dissected stories of Christ healing others. There is something special about an uplifting discussion on Christ; his love, compassion, selflessness, and grace that lifts our hearts to higher and more holy places. Spiritual thought: In 3 Nephi 17 there is an account of Jesus Christ healing many who were afflicted with illness. He told the multitude "[bring the sick and afflicted unto me, for] I have compassion upon you; my bowels are filled with mercy" and he took them "one by one, and blessed them". From this we learn Jesus Christ not only wants to heal us but more than that he desires to see and understand us, to have a one on one relationship with us. He cares that we feel loved, not just that we are okay. James E. Faust said... "The overwhelming message of the Atonement is the perfect love the Savior has for each and all of us. It is a love which is full of mercy, patience, grace, equity, long-suffering, and, above all, forgiving." From now on, I will be slowing down my study of the Savior to be more uplifting and meaningful. I invite you to do the same! Love, Elder Bateman
