Enguun's Baptism. #73

Hey! What up my people? How's the good life?! Love to hear from you all... I'll respond to everyone this week! Another week in Mongolia and my mission has just 7 months left. Crazy how time flies! This opportunity to live amongst, and love as christ loves (at least try the best I can) is a priceless opportunity. This week Enguun was baptized. This is special to me bc/ he has some sort of learning impairment. For example, his prayer for our first three lessons went like this "Dear Heavenly Father, in Jesus name amen". I remember walking out of our third meeting with him discouraged thinking "Is there any hope? Can he learn enough to understand baptism? Can I teach this kid well enough?" I learned... "there is always hope... never give up on others just as God will never give up on you." After teaching Enguun 23 more times, his understanding and desire became sufficient enough to recieve baptism. If you don't know Enguun, than believe me, this is nothing short of a miracle from heaven. Anyway... there is always hope. Don't give up on others and don't give up on yourself. We may abandon God, but He will never abandon us. This what I've learned. Love you all so so much Elder Bateman
