Finding Families #71

Hello! How are you?! How's the good life? Love to hear from you all. Love you guys! 😉 Today I wanted to share about my week. My companion and I found 3 families, we did 2 exchanges, and I finished the book "The great divorce" by C.S. Lewis 🌞 I feel very consecrated with Elder Peterson. We work well together... work hard, laugh lots, and love the people. Our friend Enguun will be baptized on Saturday. He's 11 years old... and he's kinda crazy haha😄 When we sit in sacrament meeting, he crawls under the seats. When my companion and I teach lessons, he just walks in to interrupt. When we sing hymns he slaps himself with the hymn book. He walked into the other wards sacramnet meeting, and tried to play piano while the sacrament was being passed. When he watched last Saturday's baptism he yelled to everyone... "I'm not gonna wear white, I'm gonna wear black cloths". That's just half of it, but I need say no more. Beyond that, we are teaching our families. And they are in contrast, extremely well behaved. Each eager to hear the word of God, and follow it as a family. My new members Amarhuu and Ganchimeg recently got callings!! Amarhuu will be the new Sunday School Teacher and Elders Quorum teacher. Ganchimeg will teach primary! Spiritual thought I recently started a new book, "Believing Christ". In it the author points out... Often people claim to have faith, believe in Christ; that he lived, died and rose the third day. But many don't believe Christ, that they themselves can become clean of their past transgressions. They believe the atonement works for others, but that they're not enough to recieve his grace. If we actually believe Christ we have cause to be hopeful. In our darkest moments of regret, remorse, addiction, rage, vanity, and disgust of self... we have cause to believe we can still change. I remember a part from "Count of Monte Cristo" where Edmound Dontes at the peak of his dispear in prison said "I don't believe in God" to which his wise old friend says "It doesn't matter, because he believes in you". Whatever your trail may be or how alone you may feel... Never forget God lives, He loves you, and he is mindful of you. Never ever give up. The question is not does God hear us, the question is "will we hear Him, will we hear His Son?" I know that Christ lives. He loves us. Because of him, he can do all things. Love, Elder Bateman
