Amarhuu, Ganchimeg, Namuunaas baptism #64
Hi,
How are yall doing? I hope this email finds you and your families well back home.
This week has been filled with joy as three friends were baptized. Amarhuu and Ganchimeg, a married couple of 40 years, and Namuunaa, a 25-year-old physician in her last year of medical school, have all embraced the gospel. There's nothing quite like watching the hearts of my friends turn to their Father in Heaven... where they find that the heart of the Father has been turned toward them all along.
Amarhuu and Ganchimeg, who tragically lost two children during their lifetime, have warmly embraced my companion and me as their own sons, calling us "my son". I'll never forget them.
Dispite tragedy, they press forward with "seadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men".
There baptismal service was a miracle of a event. Three young men (who teach with us) Amartuvshin, Bilguun, and Telmen preformed the baptisms. The young men are amazing and we love them so so much.
Spiritual thought:
I love you all, and I hope you are finding joy and peace in life.
If not, remember to turn your heart to our father in heaven. If you will do his will, if you will give your heart to him... you will find his rest.
I want to bear testimony that Jesus is the Savior. It is through his grace we are saved. It is through him we find new life.
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
Love,
Preston Bateman
