The Spirit of Christmas + Banana Bread. #58
Hey Everyone!
Merry Christmas!!!! How are you guys doing? send an update so I can stay up to date with your family!
This week we taught 24 lessons and gave 20 loafs of banana bread (Used it for sacrament too haha).
We're very blessed to have the opportunity to teach Munkhdemberel. He's an 18 year old with Cerebral Palsy. Although he struggles to speak and use his body, his brain is as capable as anyone else. Being able to be his friend and love him, has been my favorite thing this transfer.
We are helping a new member Bilguun prepare to serve a mission. This week he helped us teach 8 lessons. He's learning to fast and is developing a deep love for our savior.
I'm greatful for this this time of year... and this special opportunity to ponder the gift that is Christ. I'm greatful to God for my loving mother and father, my brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends too.
Spiritual thought: Spirit of Christmas time!
President Monson has said...
It is through giving, rather than getting, that the Spirit of Christ enters our lives.
He who gives money gives much, he who gives time gives more, but he who gives of himself gives all. Let this be a description of our Christmas gifts.
Most of all, let it be a time to remember the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, that we may share in the song of the angels, the gladness of the shepherds, and the worship of the Wise Men.
This Christmas, might we remember the gift of the Christ child by giving the gift of ourself more fully... by smiling more, singing more, listening more, laughing more, empathizing more, embracing more, and loving a little more.
Merry Christmas,
Elder Bateman
