Craaazy Experience. #50
Hey,
This week I had the most spiritual experience of my mission.
We felt a prompting to drop by with brownies unannounced to a church members house. We get there and the wife invites is in.
Her husband sat in the middle of the living room trembling. He has been drinking non stop since July. He couldn't finish a sentence, walk, or hold anything in his hand. I tried sharing a scripture, it didn't work. I tried sharing an addiction recovery video, didn't work. Nothing was working.
His wife then told me he served a mission 23 years ago. So I thought, maybe I just ask him about his mission?!
As soon as he started speaking about his mission, he stopped trembling, he could speak, and walk around. He started smiling again.
After returning home, he was branch president in choibalsan. So we talked about that. Same thing happened.
For a moment the spirit entered back into his heart. Memories reminded him of God's love and mercy, and the joy of discipleship.
We had him pray. His pleading with heaven was the most sincere and tender thing I've heard. He was crying, my comp was crying, and I was crying.
This is the most miraculous thing I've witnessed on my mission so I thought I'd share it.
God lives, He loves you. Whatever your challenges are, never, never give up.
