Service #46
Hey,
Great week in Mongolia. Lots of lessons and service.
This week we went to serve a lady. It was 31F degrees, snowing and pouring rain, windy, and muddy (and we had short sleeves). Felt like a battle ground haha. Super miserable but when you embrace it, the service becomes fun. Also afterward the lady we were serving brought us in and had warm milk and bread for us.
As winter approaches I often review this scripture "endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ... that ye may please him who has chosen (you) to be a soilder". 2 Timothy 2: 3-4
Uncomfortable service is somthing I've grown to love. It embodies the spirit of adventure and deliberate challenge. When we embrace the suck and involve God in these moments, they become full joy and growth.
Love, Elder Bateman
