A Child in our midst #39

Hey Everyone! Here are some memorable experiences this week: 1 While giving a blessing of health to a lady in the ward this week, her daughter placed a small bird on my shoulder. Then my companion took it off. Then the kid placed the bird on my companion. 2 Dedicated a ladies home. 3 Played tennis with my district last p-day. So much fun 4 Walked home in a lighting storm Spiritual thought: Inspiration comes from unspoken sermons by George Macdonald Jesus taught "Whosoever should recieve a child in my name, recieveth me, and whoso recieveth me (revieth my father in heaven)" "To do as God is to receive God; to do a service to one of his children is to receive the Father." "Whosoever gives a cup of cold water to a little one, refreshes the heart of the Father." The kings of the earth have their subjects bow to them, but the king of heaven brings them in his loving embrace, he shares. When we serve God's Children, we are acting as God would act. Therefore we revieve him. We learn of his nature and come closer to him and his will. I know I've felt God's love, the more I've served his children. "For the childlike is the divine" and to love God's children and "be a child" is to receive the divine. Love, Elder Bateman
