Training #30
Hey Everyone!
Hope you are all doing well. I'd love hearing from you all!!
So I'm training Elder Stallard now. He is the best kid. He's got a heart of gold.
Coming into this new area, there was just 1 investigator.
We have 3 investigators now and 2 more are planning to meet us tomorrow.
I was feeling kinda stressed about living up to an expectation because as a trainer and DL the outcome of an area is entirely on your shoulders. Number of lessons, baptisms, work load, wellbeing of your trainee, and all the speaking and understanding Mongolian is on you.
Like I've shared before this scripture comforts me...
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind - 2 Timothy 1:7
I've realized these 2 things.
Stress is largely (not entirely, but largely) a choice. And this is not my work, but the Lord's.
Missions are hard. But when do hard things with love and devotion to God in our hearts, the burden of work becomes our joy.
Love Elder Bateman
(We had a lady make matching ties for us)
(Went on a gorgeous hike with a ton of missionaries, best pday)
