Miracles #31
Hey Everyone!
We've reached our goal of 5 new investigators. But it's nothing I'm doing. We have been really blessed and fortunate this transfer. 15 lessons so far!
One of our investigators is 11 years old. His mom asked us to bring him to church bc/she has work. Since it takes 1-1.5 hours to get to church, we were babysitting him for 4.5 hours. It was fun but stressful haha.
My biggest struggle this week was not being able to stop thinking about work. From 6:30am-1030pm and I'd be stressing. So my goal is to not think about the investigators and things out of my control, in the morning during studies and at night before bed. If anyone has advice for turning off my brain, lmk
I'm learning that the gift of tounges is real. And it's not magic. But simply God's reward for faith and hard work.
I feel I have just enough to do what I need to, and nothing more. God rewards our best effort and he rewards our faith.
2 cool experiances: one of our investigators wanted to do a prayer circle at the end of a lesson. While he played some Lauren Daigle, and we all took turns praying. He gave a loud "Amen" after every sentence. I was feeling the spirit so strong.
One of our new Investigators is a Christian already. We met for the first time this week. At the end of the meeting, he shook my hand and said "I am proud of you". Such a good dude.
Anyway, hope everything is good at home. Also shout out to my dad, the most christlike person I know. Love you dad.
Love,
Elder Bateman
