Merry Christmas! #6

This week at the MTC has been a lot of fun. Each morning we ran 2-3 miles at 6:45 and would get a lift in afterward. Then my companion and I would do personal study and language study until lunch.

Nothing new is happening here so at times it feels repetitive. But we only have 5 weeks to go out of our 11 total! (31 pull ups this week)

Merry Christmas!

I would like to wish a Merry Christmas to everyone reading this email. I hope all of you can enjoy time with loved ones remembering the gift to us that is Christ. Let our Christmas traditions remind of the love God has for all his children that we would give his only begotten Son. As Elder Gerrit W. Gong of the quorum of the twelve apostles said, "Christmas is a time of music, smells and tastes, anticipation and generosity. A time of gathering, whether we live near or far.

He finishes his talk "Christ, Our Savior, Is Born" so eloquently. "Our Savior came at Christmas to liberate the captives—and not only those in prison. He can free us from the ghosts of our pasts, unshackle us from the regrets of our and others’ sins. He can redeem us from our self-centered, selfish selves through rebirth in Him. 'For unto you is born this day … a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.' So merry Christmas!

May your Christmas traditions and memories be merry and bright."

I convey the same message to you, Merry Christmas!

Love,
Elder Bateman
