Last week at MTC #10

 Hey Everyone!

Next time you receive another email I'll most likely be on the other side of the earth in Mongolia. I'll be honest, if you asked me a year ago if I'd serve a mission I'd probably give you slim chances... even 9 months ago. Life is crazy. I want to say I am beyond blessed to be where I am, to have my family, friends, the gospel, and this opportunity. This week has been a blast. For the first time in 15 years, Mongolian districts overlap at the MTC. It has been fun to get to know the amazing Elders and Sisters in the next district. In the next district Elder Matina, Magana, Netlebeek, Walker, Brown and the rest are an awesome bunch. Sister Ellsworth is also super awesome.

Spiritual thought

This week Elder Basset, the executive director of the missionary department spoke to us. Best talk I've ever heard at the MTC. He prepared nothing, and filled an entire hour without stumbling over himself once. He was definitely let by the spirit.

My favorite part of his talk was this... When Nephi was building a boat he was instructed by the lord from "time to time". I like to think our lives are similar to that boat, sometimes we don't know the entire path but God will give us enough courage and insight to take the next step. Hopefully after building our own Lifes' boat, we are ready to set sail. With the help of Jesus Chirst as our savior and the holy spirit guide, we have the ability to sail to the presence of our loving heavenly father and enjoy eternal life with our families. "...And He shall direct your paths" Proverbs 3:6

As I begin my mission I like to remember this inspiring quote (used in 1st email) "I'm a little pencil in the hand of a writing God, who is sending a love letter to the world-Mother Teresa

I am so excited to begin loving, serving, and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

I love you so much and hope this email finds you and your family well,
Elder Bateman
