Insane week #36
Hey Everyone!
This week was crazy. We put 2 more friends on date for baptism and In just the past 4 days we had a combined 16 lessons and member meals.
We are working our buns off honestly.
This week 2 of our investigators became homeless. One of them hadn't eaten in 5 days so we went to the store and got him bread and ham. Oscar and his Mom Enk-amar are going to be baptized this Saturday.
Most embarrassing moment: I was asked at a member meal "How's the Food?" and tried to say "It's super delicious" but for some reason I said "the food is freaking mid (or alright)". It just came out wrong as I'm speaking mongolian. I was so embarrassed bc we were at this ladies house to mourn the loss of her husband. I felt horrible and explained that I misspoke.
Last p-day I got to eat dinner with Schefer's fam before he left Mongolia. Such a great night. This pday we went on a hike.
I really love my trainee. His name is Elder Hunt. He is 1 of 2 missionaries who arrived this transfer. He knows his scriptures in and out, and has really fun sense of humor. I'm so blessed to serve with him, and to show him how to serve with love and energy.
Spiritual thought
1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: 2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to (reap) that which is planted; Eccl. 3:1-2
Although work is on fire... I know that it won't always we like this.
I'm greatful to have a ton of work for my trainee, but I know that this is the Lord's work. This is his glory, bringing to "pass the enternal life" and joy of man.
This is the lords work. Not mine. He prepares hearts, the holy spirit testifies, and we do is give our best.
All glory to God. He he's so good. He gave us agency to follow His son, and our good conscious. He's given us this opportunity to cry, to laugh, to dance, to forgive, to mourn, to serve, to embrace, and to love. The good life is ours to live.
Love,
Elder Bateman
