Baptism, Elder Soares #27

 What up peeps!

Last week we had a baptism of bat-Ireedo. The best part is that his friend was able to perform the baptism. His friend, "holy-faith" (Translated) introduced us to him and helped with the lessons. We taught him 21 lessons over 1.5 months. He chose me to confer the gift of the holy spirit (awesome opportunity). Also the "smile" lady came to the baptism. She said the baptism was "pleasing". 

This week we got to plant trees! We went out with a member for 3 hours and absolutely grinded! It reminded me of paving for a bit before the mission. 

I really love my companion. He is a work horse. It's great bc/ we are both on the same page in terms of how hard we work... as much as we can.

For this transfer, my companion and I have set the goal of being the "Positivity Ambassadors" of Sainshand. I actually love it. We say hi to everyone. Offer help to those we see a need to meet. The holistic approach to missionary work is so refreshing.

Recently my 3 favorite words are Love, Devotion, and Joy. When we love someone or something, we devote ourselves to it. When we act out of devotion, we are filled with joy. 

To me this is the cycle of missionary work. We love God, we devote 2 years to serve our fellow man, and we are filled with unimaginable joy.
