Tuff Week #16
Hey Everyone!
Good but hard week in Sainshand! Finished the BoM. Ran 6 days last week. One run was 4 miles at -10F 🥶 (beanie and eyelashes were frozen, with wind forecast said it felt like -21F).
This week we went into a store to get bananas for banana bread. Since we wanted bad bananas the banana lady gave us 12 bananas for free. We came back later to give her a loaf and she then gave us 36 more bananas for free. We've made over 40 packages with 4 slices.
Sainshand is hard as there are not many people to teach. Sometimes it feels like I'm not succeeding. But I'm conforted by this quote from Teddy Rossevelt...
"It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs; who comes short again and again... who strives to do the deeds... (who knows) great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause..."
I'm greatful to labor for a worthy cause. And this quote reminds me it is not the outcome that counts... but the sacrifice of time, comfort, and effort to love others and serve God. That they may feel the love of God and find peace in Jesus Christ.
