Hey Everyone!

This week was fire! I was able to invite a family of 3 to be baptized and they said yes. Mark the date 24th of February, members 10, 11, and 12 will join the church in Sainshand. I'm so excited for them! The gospel of Jesus Christ will be a great blessing in their lives. Teaching this family has been a dream. Eachtime, I wrestle/give shoulder rides/play around with the children and it lightens my day (also they call me Batman, its so adorable). They remind me of my nephews Griffey, Finn, Owen, and Adair.
Church was a lot of fun. We are hosted at a members house. It's a small one bedroom apartment. It felt like family home evening, except it was sacrament meeting. Since it was fast Sunday, I went up to bear my testimony. I was little nervous, but once I started speaking I saw some people nodding there heads in agreement as I was talking. The nodding along with the spirit calmed my nerves.
This week we will open up a physical location for the church in Shainshand. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to be apart of it.
Yesterday we visited a Tibetan Buddhist monastery. It was super trippy and eye opening. Hearing the monks throat sing made me finally feel like I was in the East Gobi. I still can't beleive I'm here. It's such a blessing.
Spiritual thought
Here is the short testimony I shared in fast and testimony meeting.
God is our loving heavenly father. He loves all His children. When I pray, I feel the love of God. He sent his son Jesus Chirst, so that we could become more like Him. Jesus Christ is our Savior, Redeemer, and perfect example. If we follow the example of Jesus Christ, we will have joy and find peace. God lives, Jesus Christ lives. Jesus Chirst is my friend.
I'm halfway through the BoM rn, here is a scripture I loved.
"Come unto me and ye shall partake of the fruit of the tree of life; yea, ye shall eat and drink of the bread and the water freely" Alma 5:34
In Sainshand we have the opportunity invite families and individuals to come to the tree of life. That they might feel the love of God.
"I am a little pencil in the hand of a writing God who is writing a love letter to the world" Mother Teresa
Love,
Elder Bateman
